Thousands of runners will convene on Balmoral Castle Grounds in Royal Deeside this Saturday to run in stunning scenery and one of the most challenging 10K routes in the UK.
Run Balmoral attracts families, corporate teams and club runners from all over the UK to participate in events such as 10k, 5k, 2.5K schools races, a wheelchair race and a kilters race.
The Kilters Race is a 10K run with a difference, the first wearer of a kilt home receives a bottle of Royal Lochnagar whisky., from the local distillery.
We will have a small stand at Run Balmoral displaying some of our gear for runners including Páramo’s new lightweight Quito and VistaJackets, new Quito Trousers, Odlo base layers and running wind tops, X socks etc. We will also have some good deals.

Hilltrek Ventile Poncho Tested in Bushcraft Activity in France

One of our French customers tested our Ventile Poncho and commented:

‘I  tested my Ventile Poncho in an Bushcraft activity.

The night it rained, and the Ventile was allowed past a drop of water, the fabric has narrowed and became “stiff”.
Some pieces of embers flew away but the Ventile is resistant to heat
I am very happy with this poncho’

Jean-Patrick Guerrero

The Hilltrek Ventile Poncho was developed in conjunction with members of Bushcraft UK www.bushcraftuk.com

Hilltrek Braemar Ventile Smock in action on Ben Nevis

Just dropping you a quick note, many thanks for making the above Double Ventile Braemar smock in  Royal Blue. The photo is taken on Carn Mor Dearg Arete Ben Nevis about four weeks ago in -4 degrees windy and cloudy conditions. Rime formed on the jacket and woollen balaclava, but with only a Helly Lifa and Paramo Mountain shirt on underneath I was warm as toast. I am going to climb Mont Blanc in July this year and the smock is going with me, so fingers crossed summit photos to follow in July.
